About Chalybeate Springs
Off the beaten track, on the privately owned Eridge Estate & amidst countryside that has been unaffected by time, you will find trout fishing like it used to be
We provide a well stocked water with both Rainbow & Brown trout between 2lb 8ozs & 8lbs. Some of the original wild fish, that still breed in the stream, can be seen rising gently to the abundant natural fly life or cruising through reeded margins stalking an underwater meal
Special Needs Anglers
Chalybeate is in a fairly remote location & does not have metalled pathways or hard standing around the lake, nor do we have a proper disabled toilet. But wheel chair access from our car park to the hut is easy & in dry weather with a little assistance across a small slope there is then good access to the entire southern bank of the lake
